My Water Journey
My life's calling began while swimming with wild dolphins several years ago. Their sonar went through my entire body like electricity, touching the centre core of my being. I became so alive, bathing in the essence of the dolphins and their remarkable healing powers. These memories kept my dream alive to one day live by the sea near the dolphins.
All of my life I have felt happiest being in and near water.
In school I chose swimming as sports. On holidays my then partner never understood how I could just sit by the shore and stare out to sea, instead of being active and doing something. I was indeed – b-e-i-n-g! Being taken in by the magic of the sea, the magnitude held by the crashing waves, the serenity felt when breathing in the pure sea air.
The angels of the sea – the dolphins – have been calling me from early on
(read my journey in 'The Dolphin Lady'), so by serendipity I found out about Ocean Therapy, gaining various tools - by using the essence of the ocean – to facilitate people in creating positive changes in their lives.
Although the main structure of Ocean Therapy is land based, I was drawn towards its water part 'Aqua Healing Touch' (releasing fear of water).
To move further on in my water journey, first of all I had to release my own fears, (leaving my then financially secure London behind).
The call of the dolphins was finally answered (it took me ten years of yearning to live by the sea to actually to get there).
I did not find my place, my home found me, with a swimming pool next door, all the way down in western Cornwall..
Ainsley, whose love for the dolphins was so huge that he finally overcame his greatest fears of not being able to swim and being frightened of water, called me and booked several sessions with me.
I wanted to go further still, after having received just a taste of Watsu during my Ocean Therapy training, I so desired to learn more about it. To practise that I needed a very warm pool.
This finally manifested, several years after my Cornwall move. My journey took me to WatsuGoa, India, where I trained in Watsu and AquaWellness.
(You can read my water journey in 'The Mermaiden of Cornwall' – Feel Safe in Water)
Here I illustrate the many given feedbacks of some of the people I have given sessions to, of how they have felt being held and floated in, (and sometimes under) water.
My greatest joy is sharing with others that nurturing, warm, watery place of returning to source, that safety we felt and can still feel.
I am now manifesting my greater vision by using recordings of dolphin sounds under water, reliving the life-transforming experiences I have had whilst swimming with wild dolphins.
What happens, when comforted and caressed by the warmth of the water, you then hear the sound of the dolphins?
